There’s a big lottery drawing happening tonight. A neighboring state to mine does not have the lottery, so the gas stations near the border have lines of people waiting to buy lottery tickets wrapped around the buildings.
Tonight, a lot of people will be disappointed.
Tonight, a lot of people’s hope will be deflated.
Could you imagine if the same number of people who are placing their hope in a lottery ticket were making the decision instead to place their hope in Jesus?
THAT would be awesome!
Could you imagine if instead of lining up at gas stations, people were lining up to be baptized?
THAT would be amazing!
Imagine the hope that would be restored in people! The love of Jesus is the ONE THING that will not fail. He will never let you down. He will never deflate your hopes. In fact, He is the ultimate hope-giver, the ultimate hope-restorer.
It is the desire of my heart that all would come to know the love of Jesus, that all would make the decision to become His followers.
If you are tired of your hope being deflated, come to the cross. Come to Jesus. He will give you hope that will never tire, never deflate, never fail. It will be firm and secure. It will be awesome, and then you also will have the desire to introduce more people to Him. Because He’s just that awesome.
“We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.” Hebrews 6:19

Amen, Sister! People need the Lord, rather than playing a foolish game where the odds are greater than 292 million to 1. They each have a 25 times great chance of becoming the next president of the United States! Anyway, keep up the great blogging and preaching! Blessings!
