This morning, when I applied my deodorant, I thought, you know, this is such a nice, courteous thing that we do for each other every day.  We use deodorant so other people don’t smell our stink.  What a sweet gesture that we do, without even thinking of it!!!  WeIMG_2873‘re so thoughtful!
Then I got to thinking about applying “Spiritual Deodorant”.  Do I apply my “Spiritual Deodorant” each day so I’m not stinking up the world?  As in, stinking up the world with my actions, my attitude, my demeanor, my words.

Hmmmm, something to ponder.  If I don’t spend time in God’s Word each day, I’m going to start stinking.  If I want to be Jesus to those around me, I must know what Jesus sounds like.  How He thinks.  How He treats others.  How He loves.  I need to be seasoning those around me, as opposed to stinkin’ up the place.

So, the next time you apply your deodorant, so you don’t stink, think about applying your Spiritual Deodorant too.

You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men.

You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
